William Hyde co-founded Flood Tide in July of 2024 and serves as the company’s CIO where he focuses on macro themes and insights, as well as portfolio management and trade construction.  He has 15 years of experience in finance and investing across markets and sectors.

William brings a depth of experience in macro-based investing and trading as the former head of macro at Tilden Park Capital Management, a multi-strategy alternative asset manager headquartered in NYC. He spent time trading and managing various alpha generating strategies involving interest rate, credit, and equity derivatives. William also spent considerable time working directly with the CIO to manage and hedge risks at the broader portfolio level, a portfolio which reached upwards of $4 billion. Prior to his work at Tilden Park, William worked as an Associate at Goldman Sachs where he worked with Flood Tide’s fellow co-founder Matt Rouse where they supported multiple trading desks as controllers.

William began his career at Aon Hewitt where he worked on M&A and new business opportunities as part of the Global Strategy Team.

William earned his Bachelor of Arts with a major in International Relations and minors in Business Management and Arabic Language from Brigham Young University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
